\"\"Fitch has said it is keeping France’s credit rating at A+ with a stable outlook.<\/p>\n

The solvency rating agency Fitch Ratings announced yesterday Friday (28\/08) that it is holding the French state’s credit rating at A+ with a stable outlook, which means it does not expect a change over the medium and long term, even with estimates of a larger deficit.<\/p>\n

In a statement, the agency justified its decision by saying France has a “large” and “diversified” economy and a “robust banking sector,” along with a “diversified investor base,” even as it faces a “high and rising” debt level, a “political and social environment that makes fiscal consolidation difficult,” and “weak growth potential.”<\/p>\n
