Examples include alanine, valine, and leucine.<\/li>\n<li>Polar (hydrophilic): These amino acids have a charge and are soluble in water. Examples include serine, threonine, and asparagine.<\/li>\n<li>Acidic: These amino acids have a negative charge and are acidic in solution. Examples include aspartic acid and glutamic acid.<\/li>\n<li>Basic: These amino acids have a positive charge and are basic in solution. Examples include lysine and arginine.<\/li>\n<li>Aromatic: These amino acids have an aromatic ring structure and are hydrophobic.
